Shabnam Aggarwal is an idealist and an education reformer who focuses her energy on improving educational models and methods for low-income students around the world. In 2009 she co-founded MILLEE, a social enterprise bringing English education to rural children in India through fun mobile phone games. She then set out on The Teach Tour in 2010, traveling and speaking with various educators throughout the world, attempting to understand their challenges and how we might work together to solve them in order to bring quality education to the poor worldwide. She currently resides in Boulder, Colorado researching the same issues in the US, specifically, working on a student feedback mechanism that will allow students to have a voice in their educational experiences.
