TEDxGoldenGateED 2011 will be held at the historic Craneway Pavilion in Richmond, CA.

Originally constructed in 1931 as a Ford factory, the building was repurposed during World War II as a production facility for tanks and jeeps. If you can imagine Rosie the Riveter there, you are not far off– Rosie the Riveter National Park is right next door.

Besides the site’s historical significance, it is also a beautiful site located right on the edge of the San Francsico Bay, looking out to San Francisco’s skyline.

Getting to and from the Craneway Pavilion is convenient by car, ferry from San Francisco, and public transportation. You could even ride your bike along the San Francisco Bay Trail, or dock your kayak right outside.
